I started out by going to garage sales with my dad when I was 6. It was fun and I could buy a lot more used toys with my $3 a week allowance than I could buy new ones. I only bought what I loved. Once I realized I had accumulated too much, I decided to sell a few things and learned the value that was available in all of the things I had curated. Then Ebay showed up and I moved onto a life of buying and selling. I was, what I hated to be called, a dealer. For a long time in the 90s and early aughts I was the youngest person out there going to St.Louis estate sales. I befriended many estate sale-runners and eventually one asked if I could help with a sale. Then a neighbor asked if I could run her sale. That was in 2002. I did several sales after that, but things really kicked in when I met my partner at the time, and we turned MoModerne into a city and then country-wide known brand. It was a lot of fun. We opened a store, got a crew and started doing sales every single week. After two kids, and an incredible time, we decided to separate MoModerne into store and estate sales company, rebranding the estate sales as MOMO. And now, on my own, but with my incredible crew, we are Luby’s Great Estate. We will bring you the greatest, most fun and interesting sales we can find. You can bet on that.
